ONE of the world’s most luxurious yachts is up for sale and could be yours for a cool $70 million dollars.
Built in 2004, the yacht has most recently been owned by American billionaire Jim Clark and his Australian wife, model Kristy Hinze.
Athena super yacht
The three-storey, 90-metre long vessel was built in 2004 at the Royal Huisman Shipyard in the Netherlands.
If you’re a (very rich) yachting enthusiast, you can grab 10 of your closest friends, who can be accommodated in the yacht’s five cabins (one is a master suite with its own study, walk-in wardrobe and spa).

These include a bridge deck, media room and a large main saloon that leads to a stunning dining room.
There is also another table on the vast deck so everyone can enjoy a spot of al fresco dining.
Plus there’s another study area with floor to ceiling bookshelves and plenty of storage space.
The yacht can also house 21 members of staff to cater to your every needs.

Boating nut Clark told boatinternational.com last August that he was looking to sell the yacht because “it’s time.”
“I’ve got too many boats,” he said in the interview. “I’m particularly afflicted with this disease. I mean, good God, how many boats have I had? A 17 metre Baltic, a 27 metre Jongert, a 47 metre Frers, Hanuman, Athena, Comanche. I have a fishing boat, a 70 foot sport fisher.

“That’s enough boats but I have loved them all, one way or another. It just comes down to having too many irons in the fire.”
Clark’s yacht Comanche, of course, famously won the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race in 2015.
He did tell the website back that he would miss the yacht if she sold.

“I would miss all of her,” said Clark, adding that if she doesn’t sell there’s still a few destinations on his bucket list. “I never made it to Madagascar, and I understand there’s some incredible diving there. And I’ve never been to the Seychelles or South Africa.”
You’d think Athena is the boat to do it on.
