THE stars of golf have produced all-time great shots in Mexico, with Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and tournament leader Justin Thomas turning it on.

Justin Thomas’s third-round 66 gave him the outright lead in the WGC Mexico Championship at 12 under, but it was his ludicrous slam dunk on the huge 212m par-3 13th hole that sent the crowd into a frenzy.

His crisp six iron bounced on the green and straight into the cup.

That superb finish came on the heels of American superstar Spieth’s expert read of the green on the 16th.

Chasing birdie, Spieth — who is off the pace at seven under through three rounds — lobbed up a 10m chip that appeared to land a long way wide of the cup.

But that was to the untrained eye, and it quickly became apparent that this thing was, indeed, a chance.

True to form, Spieth’s effort almost turned back on itself as it rolled toward the flag, eventually nestling in the hole.

That stunner followed a chip in for eagle on the 15th, highlighting the 23-year-old’s brilliant short game.

And, if they weren’t enough for you, how about this stunner from Rory McIlroy?
