WOULD you pay $110 to sleep in the boot of a car?

That’s the quirky offer from one car owner who has placed his luxury Tesla Model S up as an accommodation offering on Airbnb.

The site is known for its unusual and unique accommodation listings and this one, from Phoenix Arizona in the US, comes complete with everything you need for a night in the boot, including remote-controlled candles — just in case you need a gentler atmosphere to ... er hrm ... get a little snuggly during your stay.

On the listing it says: “The Tesla will be your “private room” but you still get access to a kitchen, TV room & bathroom/shower”.

The price also includes a Tesla pick-up and drop-off at Sky Harbor Airport, as long as schedules allow.

Owner of the car Steve Sasman told CBS5 he’d slept in the car himself.

“So why not let other people do it?

“You get a premium air bed

“This thing is top of the line,” he said.

The Tesla Model S sells for around $150k AUD.
