IF you have ever wondered how Australians consume their porn, look no further.
Video sharing site PornHub has published figures on the habits of its visitors and some of the results are surprising.
On a traffic scale it appears Australians are pretty avid porn viewers, with our country ranked number eight worldwide.
This is an increase of two poll positions based on statistics from the previous year — what a dubious honour.
Apparently Aussies love porn on the run with 50 per cent of visitors to the site using a phone.
Desktop is the second most popular device attracting 34 per cent of visitors, while only 16 per cent use a tablet.
The average viewing time for an Australian visitor to PornHub is 9 minutes and 33 seconds with 82 per cent of visitors being male.
This demographic would explain “Lesbian, teen and MILF” being the three most searched phrases.

Weekdays are more popular for viewing videos with peak traffic coming on Friday before it drops substantially over the weekend.
Saturday is the least popular day for traffic.
It could be to do with being the shortest month of the year, but February is the least popular month for traffic.
November is a different story and it attracts the highest number of clicks.
To maintain dignity, it appears our porn consumption drops on special occasions.
On Christmas Day traffic drops by 28 per cent, on Easter Sunday it drops 19 per cent and on New Year’s Eve it drops a massive 52 per cent.
