NOT many shows have created hype on the internet quite like Breaking Bad’s prequel Better Call Saul.
For months fans have been forced to speculate on the premise of the show with only short teaser trailers and stills released from AMC.
To continue the hype, the network has released an extended trailer that offers the most extensive look at the plot to date.
In latest trailer fans get a glimpse of how Bob Odenkirk’s character James M. McGill becomes Saul Goodman.
It appears the character is a fired up young lawyer possessing the same charisma and shady persona viewers came to love in Breaking Bad.
During an appearance at a new programming showcase in Los Angeles, co-creator Vince Gilligan and confirmed Breaking Bad’s Walter Walt (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) would not appear in the first season of the show.
“The sky is the limit and any of these characters could conceivably show up in future seasons,” he said.
“But the intention is it will feel proper and organic, because if it feels like a stunt then something has gone terribly wrong in the writers’ room.
“To be completely honest, I want to see them all eventually.”
Better Call Saul premieres on AMC in two parts on 8 and 9 February.
Australian viewers will be able to watch the show on the streaming service Stan, a joint venture between the Nine Network and Fairfax Media.
