Elon Muskis pretty confident in his product it seems.
AN online exchange between two tech billionaires could have a massive impact on one of the biggest issues facing Australia.
When Australian billionaire and Atlassian co-founder Michael Cannon-Brookes read Tesla’s claims its batteries could solve South Australia’s power woes within 100 days of being asked, he took to Twitter with a simple tweet: “Holy s#%t”
This was followed with another tweet asking Elon Musk how serious Tesla was about the claims to install the batteries required to prevent the blackouts.
“Lyndon & @elonmusk — how serious are you about this bet? If I can make the $ happen (& politics), can you guarantee the 100MW in 100 days,” he wrote.
Lyndon & @elonmusk - how serious are you about this bet? If I can make the $ happen (& politics), can you guarantee the 100MW in 100 days? https://t.co/av38xcizNo

Things kicked up a notch when Musk confidently claimed Tesla will get the system installed and working 100 days from contract signature or it is free.
@mcannonbrookes Tesla will get the system installed and working 100 days from contract signature or it is free. That serious enough for you?

The exchange came from comments made by Tesla vice-president for energy products Lyndon Rive as the company luanched its next generation of solar storage batteries.
The head of Tesla’s battery division said he would “commit” to installing the 100-300 megawatt hours of batteries needed to prevent frequent blackouts in South Australia.
at the launch of the campany’s new battery storage system.
“We don’t have 300MWh sitting there ready to go but I’ll make sure there are,” he told AFR.
He also claimed Tesla could complete another contract in the same time frame for Victoria, which is tipped to suffer blackouts following the closure of the 1600MW Hazelwood coal plant later this month.
So with Musk giving his guarantee, it looks __like the ball is back in our court.
